Motion:

That Regional policy Section 3.9.1 be amended as follows to allow RCM's to concurrently serve as Vice-Secretary or Vice-Treasurer.

Reference:

(E) 3.9.1 No member shall hold more than one ORSCNA Trusted Servant position at any one time, with the exception of Vice-Secretary, Vice-Treasurer, subcommittee vice-chairpersons and temporary chairpersons.

Intent:

1. The current policy restricts our ability to fill our service positions.

2. There is no conflict of interest in having a vote at ORSCNA and serving in a position that does not normally present business at the Region.

Pro:

To fill necessary service positions.

Con:

In the absence of the primary position holder, the vice-servant would then have a conflict in their ability to serve.
